All of you Hunger Game lovers, got a great read for you. I happened upon it while strolling the aisles at Sam's Club and then found out it is a Lone Star Book (and a friend of mine is a committee member). So, here goes the synopsis of another dystopic book. Cassia is about to be matched with the person who she will end up marrying. In her world, everything has been pretty much chosen for you in order to make life easier (for example, only 10 pieces of art, literature, songs that they know, food is picked out for them, etc.). She ends up being matched with her best friend, which is extremely rare. However, when she goes home to look at his information, another face, a face she knows pops up on the screen as her match, and the screen goes blank and then goes to the face of her best friend. Who really is Cassia's match? That intrigues her to finding out and spending more time with the first mysterious match. Of course, this in itself leads Cassia to question everything including the idea of marrying for love.
I LOVED this book. It had action, romance, friendship, betrayal. It was fast-paced. There is some young adult content including violence and state ordered euthanasia.
Library Chick Rating - Omelet (but there is some violence, more young adult situations, not graphic sex, light language)
